The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program prepares students with essential business knowledge and practical skills for today's dynamic corporate environment. The curriculum focuses on applying theoretical concepts to real business scenarios, helping students develop leadership capabilities for future challenges.
Alongside foundational courses, students can focus their studies in specialized areas including Accounting, Digital Media, Finance, Healthcare Administration, HR Management, General Management, Marketing, or Software Development.
Additional credentialing options include graduate certificates in Cybersecurity Response, Cybersecurity Testing, Data Analytics, or Project Management. Electives allow students to tailor their education to specific professional aspirations.
The MBA offers flexible scheduling with evening classes, online options, and both part-time and accelerated full-time formats. The program holds ACBSP (Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs) accreditation.

Maryville University MBA graduates will be able to:

The program requires 36 credit hours minimum, comprising 27 core credits and 9 elective credits. Students may opt for a concentration or certificate (12 credits).
Prerequisite courses may be necessary depending on academic background. Non-business undergraduates must complete BUS-501 (Survey of Business), while those without accounting coursework need ACCT 509 (Financial Accounting). These prerequisite credits don't count toward degree requirements.
For students pursuing additional credentials: Only 6 credits from completed Accounting, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Finance, Healthcare, or Software Development concentrations can apply toward a second master's. MBA graduates cannot subsequently earn a Management & Leadership master's, and vice versa.
