As an Interactive Arts student at MICA, you'll explore, create, and push boundaries by developing distinctive interactive projects using both conventional and cutting-edge media.
Interactive Arts students master blending artistic expression with technological skills, constructing robotics, designing games, experimenting with VR/AR, and producing performances and immersive installations across diverse materials. By embracing hands-on learning through creative exploration, you'll gain confidence with evolving technologies and prepare for professional paths in experience/interactive design or as multimedia fine artists.

The program focuses on designing meaningful connections through various formats, including human-to-human, human-to-object, and object-to-object interactions. Coding and interactivity form the backbone of emerging fields like P2P/Blockchain, AI, VR/AR, and 5G networks. While not all IA students specialize in these areas, their education equips them with both the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to innovatively engage with these groundbreaking technologies.
