MICA's Graphic Design program equips you with the artistic, technical, and conceptual abilities to emerge as tomorrow's design leaders, influencing media formats ranging from print publications to digital platforms.
The program's foundation rests on a three-year core design sequence. Typography requirements combined with intensive studio work enable students to develop mastery. Each course integrates theoretical, technical, and historical perspectives. Students can choose from diverse electives in specialized fields, available to both majors and non-majors.
The curriculum culminates in a senior thesis project where students produce original work reflecting their personal vision. Upperclassmen complete career-focused coursework, learning industry strategies from established East Coast design professionals who mentor students throughout their professional growth.

MICA requires a minimum TOEFL score of 75 (MyBest scores are accepted), an IELTS score of 6.0, a PTE score of 58, or a Duolingo score of 105. MICA's institution code is 5399 for TOEFL and IELTS.
MICA does not require TOEFL, IELTS, PTE or Duolingo scores if you have a minimum SAT score of 470 or ACT score of 18 in the English section, or official transcripts that demonstrate at least two full years of academic success at a high school or college/university in which English is the language of instruction.
