Our evolving global landscape is being reshaped by both worldwide integration and peaceful protest movements. Consider this: between 1900 and 2006, 83 nonviolent movements worldwide successfully achieved governmental reform or independence from foreign powers. During this period, nonviolent efforts succeeded 78% of the time, versus just 38% for armed struggles.
