International trade accounts for 25% of America's gross national product. With companies increasingly relying on global commerce—many multinational corporations operate in over 100 nations—the demand for graduates skilled in international communication and business keeps growing. To enter a firm's international division, you generally must first excel in a core business area like accounting, marketing, or finance. This is why our international business program mandates students enhance their career prospects by pursuing a second business major, a four-year commitment. As an international business student at Marquette, you'll spend a semester or year studying overseas, achieve fluency in a foreign language (potentially earning a minor), and select a complementary business major (options include accounting, economics, finance, real estate, HR management, IT, marketing, or supply chain management). Our undergraduate program uniquely integrates all these components nationwide.
