The English Accelerated Degree Program (ADP) enables students to complete both a BA and MA in English within five years instead of the typical six. Participants gain early admission to the Graduate School and can apply up to 12 graduate-level credits toward their senior year major requirements. This program often serves as a transition from broad liberal arts education to specialized career preparation. Students may design an MA project aligned with their professional aspirations, with options including research papers, creative works, professional writing samples, or internships. Sometimes called an accelerated bachelor's-master's or 4+1 program, we affectionately call it the "Faster Master's." Current Marquette undergraduates can pursue a master's through ADP by taking dual-counting courses during their junior and senior years that fulfill requirements for both degrees.
