The Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) curriculum equips students with the skills to evaluate, diagnose, and address common acute conditions while overseeing chronic health issues in adolescent, adult, and elderly patients. This program focuses on wellness initiatives, applying research-backed methods to achieve optimal results, providing advice to patients and their families, and serving at-risk and disadvantaged populations. Learners will fulfill 600 hours of supervised clinical practice across diverse outpatient environments and medical specialties. Graduates will be eligible to pursue certification through either the American Nurses Credentialing Commission (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), as well as obtain Michigan state NP specialty licensure. Our graduates consistently outperform national averages on certification examinations.
