The Physical Education and Health program at Madonna University offers a thorough curriculum to train future educators in teaching K-12 physical education and health. Graduates will gain skills to inspire individuals of diverse ages, backgrounds, and health conditions to achieve lifelong physical, mental, and social wellness. With health-related expenses rising dramatically in recent years, fitness education has become increasingly essential. This program focuses on the crucial yet often overlooked field of physical fitness and health, connecting it to long-term wellbeing. Coursework covers kinesiology, human anatomy, disease prevention, exercise science, healthy lifestyle choices, injury prevention, and wellness advocacy. Participants will practice various physical activities and receive CPR/first aid certification. The program includes partnerships with local schools for practical experience in fitness promotion through classroom instruction and supervised teaching. Upon graduation, students will master teaching methods, evaluation techniques, and meet all state and national standards for physical education and health instruction.
