Madonna University's Bachelor of Science in Gerontology program offers a comprehensive curriculum exploring every dimension of aging, including psychological transformations and the social challenges encountered by seniors. Students can acquire practical experience through internships and practicums at diverse locations like nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and community centers.
The program provides flexible learning options, available both online and on-campus, allowing students to pursue their gerontology degree remotely with guidance from our committed faculty.
Gerontology Career Paths
Our program introduces students to groundbreaking developments in aging research and care. Graduates emerge equipped with the expertise to pursue fulfilling careers in gerontology, such as:
Admissions Director: Oversees resident intake processes for nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and long-term care communities.
Care Coordinator: Manages healthcare services for seniors, promoting independence and well-being.
Community Health Worker: Delivers health education and support to elderly community members, assisting with chronic condition management.
Current high school students and high school graduates who have not enrolled in a post-secondary institution after high school apply to Madonna as a freshman.
Cumulative high school GPA of 2.8 or above
