The LLM program in Trial Advocacy, Appellate Advocacy, and Alternative Dispute Resolution caters to practicing attorneys shifting their focus toward litigation or conflict resolution, as well as new graduates aiming to refine skills acquired during their JD or similar legal education. Your curriculum blends theoretical instruction, expert demonstrations, and practical student exercises. You'll acquire hands-on experience through mock depositions, simulated trials, appellate arguments, arbitration scenarios, and mediation sessions. The program comprehensively addresses all three dispute resolution disciplines.

To apply to the program, you must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent as well as a primary law degree.
You must submit official transcripts from all colleges and universities where you took courses for credit. If you attended Loyola University Chicago previously, you do not need to request transcripts, we have them on record.

Transcript evaluation. The transcript evaluation is required of all applicants who attended and received their degrees from any institution outside the U.S. The evaluation is not an English translation of the transcripts, but a separate document completed by a professional evaluation agency, which shows that the degree youve received or are pursuing outside the U.S. is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree or U.S. master's degree.
The law school requires a minimum overall TOEFL iBT score of 95 with minimum scores of 24 in the writing and reading sections, or a minimum overall IELTS score of 7 with minimum scores of 7 in the writing and reading sections.
Applicants must submit official transcripts for all undergraduate and any graduate work. To be eligible for admission, your transcript must show an earned bachelor's degree or a bachelor's degree in progress. Certified copies of transcripts are acceptable, faxed copies of transcripts are not considered official.
