Loyola University Chicago's Bachelor of Science in Engineering curriculum focuses on system theory and engineering design, equipping students with the knowledge needed for success in industrial roles. The program includes 12 core engineering, 5 mathematics, and 8 science courses covering fundamental engineering, math, and science concepts. Additionally, students complete 12 Core Curriculum classes and the UNIV 101 orientation course. Engineering students follow a common course sequence until their junior year, when they select a concentration in biomedical, computer, or environmental engineering. Each concentration requires 3 specialized seminar courses, 1 specialized laboratory course, and 2 specialized capstone design courses.
