The Creative Writing Program provides beginner and advanced workshops covering fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. These workshops create intimate, encouraging environments where students share their creative pieces while learning, with faculty guidance, how to recognize when writing achieves its full potential. Introductory courses involve collaborative analysis of published works with instructors to build a shared language of literary techniques. Using this foundation, students gain skills to thoughtfully evaluate both their own writing and peers' work while establishing personal revision standards. Advanced workshops build upon introductory courses, challenging participants to push creative boundaries and take ownership of their growth as both critical readers and developing authors. All instructors are published authors with extensive experience in professional writing and editorial collaboration.
