International Relations explores global interactions between nations, focusing on both conflicts and collaborations. Those studying this field analyze pressing worldwide concerns across political, economic, and social spheres - including human rights, security, global trade, democratic processes, and development. LMU's newly introduced major/minor challenges students to think critically about world events while equipping them for engaged participation in global society.
Students pursuing International Relations follow an interdisciplinary curriculum spanning political science, economics, history, and other fields to develop comprehensive insights into cross-border challenges. The program also requires foreign language competency and international exposure, achieved either through overseas study opportunities or globally-oriented internships.
