The MSBAE program provides both thesis and non-thesis pathways. For the thesis track, students must complete 24 credit hours post-bachelor's and produce a publishable thesis. Those holding graduate research or teaching assistantships must pursue this option. The non-thesis alternative demands 36 credit hours and a culminating project, typically taking full-time students 18-24 months to finish.
Graduate students bear complete responsibility for understanding all Graduate School and BAE policies related to their degree requirements. Unlike undergraduates, they're expected to need minimal program guidance.
Admission to the MSBAE program requires an ABET-accredited engineering bachelor's degree or equivalent coursework. Non-engineering applicants may need prerequisite classes. A minimum of 50% graduate coursework must be completed within the College of Engineering.
