The LSU Choral Division, part of the School of Music and the College of Music & Dramatic Arts, provides diverse choral groups for students, each with its own unique style and artistic purpose. Undergraduates and graduates from all academic disciplines across campus are welcome to join these vocal ensembles, experiencing both musical enrichment and community through choral performance. Participants come from various backgrounds, encompassing music majors, non-music majors, and students at different academic levels.

Auditions for choir placement occur during the week before each semester begins.
Enrollment in any LSU choir grants students 1 credit hour per semester.
Every ensemble performs between one to four concerts each term.
Prior musical knowledge or training isn't necessary to join an LSU chorus.

Qualification Requirements

A conferred baccalaureate (or equivalent) from a regionally accredited college or university by the expected date of entry into the graduate program. The Graduate School requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale or in the last 60 credit hours in the previous undergraduate or graduate coursework.
TOEFL minimum score of 550 (paper-based), 213 (computer-based), 79 (internet-based) OR
IELTS minimum score of 6.5
