Pursuing Composition or Experimental Music & Digital Media (EMDM) at LSU involves working with acclaimed faculty mentors dedicated to fostering creativity across all aspects of music production.

Students gain chances to hear their works performed by diverse LSU ensembles and media outlets, and may even join the esteemed Constantinides New Music Ensemble or the Laptop Orchestra of Louisiana. The Composers Forum serves as a dynamic space for engaging discussions, performances, and guest presentations. Through the EMDM program and LSU's Digital Media Arts & Engineering minor, students delve into digital technologies and innovative media.

Qualification Requirements

A conferred baccalaureate (or equivalent) from a regionally accredited college or university by the expected date of entry into the graduate program. The Graduate School requires a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 GPA scale or in the last 60 credit hours in the previous undergraduate or graduate coursework.
