The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Studio Art and Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Studio Art with digital art specializations cultivate artistic vision, conceptual understanding, and technical proficiency. LSU additionally provides a Master's program in Digital Media Arts & Engineering along with two DMAE minors: the arts-focused DMART and the technology-centric DMAET.

Digital tools have become fundamental to artistic creation. During the last five decades, digital advancements have revolutionized traditional art forms like painting, drawing, sculpture, and sound art, while pioneering multimedia artists now blend disciplines using digital methods to produce interactive experiences, virtual environments, and innovative works.

LSU's program explores the creative possibilities of combined technologies and accessible tools to connect with varied audiences. We focus on evolving art forms, with student projects potentially incorporating diverse media such as animation, gaming, visual effects, web-based art, robotics, electronic systems, printed works, live performance, public art, sound design, immersive installations, and digital manufacturing, among countless other hybrid approaches.
