The 120-credit Bachelor of Fine Arts in Broadcasting introduces students to digital media production across radio, video, web, and multimedia platforms. This program equips graduates for diverse roles such as documentary filmmakers, television scriptwriters, online content creators, news presenters, journalists, radio personalities, and talk show moderators. The curriculum blends technical training with creative development, focusing on emerging technologies, digital production techniques, storytelling methods, and media's societal impact. Participants gain hands-on experience both off-camera—crafting broadcast scripts and mastering studio equipment—and on-air through LIU Post's campus media outlets, PTV television and WCWP radio. The program emphasizes mastering various narrative approaches for both audio and visual media. Students secure internships with leading industry players like CBS, MTV, NBC, major radio stations including Z-100 and WFAN, as well as prominent networks such as HGTV and News 12 Long Island.
