The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts is an academic program that positions theatrical studies within a broader liberal arts framework. This 120-credit program offers comprehensive training in theatre history, dramatic literature, performance, choreography, stagecraft, artistic direction, script development, theatrical analysis, administration, and technical theater. With intimate class sizes, our dedicated faculty fosters a nurturing atmosphere for students to cultivate their unique artistic voice.
Theatre arts students at LIU Post actively engage with the Post Theatre Company, staging productions for both public and campus audiences. Multiple performance venues allow students to demonstrate their creative abilities. Situated in a picturesque suburban setting, our campus lies just under an hour from New York City - the global hub of theater. Students frequently work alongside established theater professionals including dramatists, scenic designers, stage directors, and production executives.

Transcripts for all high school and post-high school institutions attended. All transcripts must be submitted in English or translated into English by a professional translation company. Transfer students who studied outside the US must submit a NACES evaluation to receive transfer credit.

Applicants may be eligible for an English language proficiency testing waiver based on citizenship and/or prior education where English is the first language.
