You'll learn to oversee communication strategies that engage target audiences, foster relationships, and gather valuable user insights for organizational analysis and decision-making.
The Public Relations/Advertising BA program develops ethical, skilled communication professionals equipped for modern careers. This interdisciplinary major caters to students pursuing careers in strategic communication fields like PR, advertising, social media, and media relations. The curriculum combines theoretical foundations with practical training in communication technologies and research methodologies. Students gain hands-on experience creating promotional content, designing websites, and organizing events.
Additional opportunities include working with campus media outlets, joining professional organizations like the National Communication Association Student Club and Social Media Club, and participating in department-sponsored internships. A Public Relations/Advertising minor is also offered.
