The APA-accredited Ph.D. program prepares students to excel as counseling psychologists, equipping them with skills to provide mental health services to diverse populations across multiple settings. Faculty actively support student growth in areas including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual identity, ability, faith, age, belief systems, and economic background, while offering learning experiences to enhance professional competencies in these domains. Our objective is to develop practitioners capable of effectively working with varied individuals and communities while respecting cultural contexts. The curriculum follows a scientist-practitioner approach, ensuring clinical expertise is grounded in psychological research principles and social justice frameworks.
