Management combines both art and science to guide individuals in achieving shared objectives, typically within organizational settings. The Management program equips students with foundational theories, principles, and practical skills, cultivating future leaders for organizations of all sizes or careers in management-related areas like HR, consulting, or project management. At Lehigh University, our Management program—taught by distinguished scholars—provides the expertise needed for success in Management Consulting, HR and Organizational Management, or entrepreneurial ventures. The curriculum focuses on problem-solving, strategic planning, and persuasive communication, while emphasizing the human element of business: nurturing talent, fostering teamwork, and aligning behaviors with organizational goals. In our evolving global landscape, students must also learn to navigate megatrends that reshape societies, enabling businesses to pivot amid challenges and opportunities. The Management Major includes specialized courses for modern adaptability.
Students can select from three tailored tracks, each honing employer-coveted abilities like negotiation, strategic thinking, and inclusive leadership for diverse, global teams.
Managing Human Resources: This path trains future HR professionals, enhancing interpersonal and organizational competencies. An optional DEI concentration teaches students to (a) build and champion equitable workplaces and (b) recognize and mitigate bias in organizational decisions.
Management Consulting: This track readies students for consulting careers by sharpening their ability to analyze challenges, design solutions, and deliver actionable insights.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation: This option empowers students to pioneer market-ready innovations while fostering an entrepreneurial approach to problem-solving.
