The Master of Science in Exercise Physiology equips graduates with diverse career opportunities, such as developing exercise programs, conducting research, or pursuing advanced doctoral studies. Faculty research focuses on key areas like body composition, metabolic and nutritional needs, environmental factors, clinical exercise science, and how physical activity impacts aging physiology.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completing this program, graduates will:
Successfully complete either the ACSM's Certified Exercise Physiologist (C-EP) or NSCA's Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) examination.
Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of human movement physiology throughout all life stages.
Show expertise in human anatomy, physiology, and their relationship to health and disease.
Understand disease pathophysiology, risk factors, and exercise considerations for special populations as defined by the American College of Sports Medicine.
