The Master of Arts in Studio Art is designed for individuals with prior art or design education who seek to deepen their expertise in a particular studio practice (such as textiles, sculpture, printmaking, painting, jewelry/metals/enameling, glass, drawing, or ceramics). This program helps students develop a professional portfolio for pursuing an M.F.A., advance their current careers, or refine specialized technical skills for industry applications.
The Print Media and Photography specialization focuses on enhancing students' artistic expression by emphasizing conceptual approaches within printmaking and photographic arts. Participants gain access to specialized facilities including lithography, etching, relief, and silkscreen studios, along with a darkroom, press room, and digital fabrication lab. The program maintains intentionally limited enrollment to foster close faculty mentorship.
