The Master of Arts in Latin offers in-depth study of Latin literature along with Roman history and culture. Program Learning Outcomes

Students completing the Applied Linguistics and Pedagogy concentration will achieve the following:

Develop analytical abilities for interpreting Latin texts.
Achieve fluency in reading Latin while gaining broad understanding of Roman literary, historical, and cultural contexts.
Acquire foundational understanding of second language acquisition theories and linguistic principles.
Develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills for teaching and evaluating second language learners.
