The Dual License concentration in Mild to Intensive prepares educators to support students (from kindergarten to age 21) with diverse learning needs across various environments, including general education classrooms, specialized settings, and community programs. Through rigorous coursework and hands-on field experiences, participants master research-backed methods for teaching academic content, social skills, and daily living competencies. Graduates qualify for Ohio state licensure covering both Mild/Moderate Educational Needs (such as learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and ADHD) and Moderate/Intensive Educational Needs (including intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and physical impairments).

Qualification Requirements

New first-year applicants must finish secondary school in their home country by the time of enrollment to be eligible for university (comparable to the completion of senior high school in the U.S.). A student who has previously enrolled in a post-secondary (higher education) institution is required to apply as a transfer student.
