The Bachelor of Science in Advertising program enables students to engage audiences across various media platforms by identifying target demographics, discovering consumer behavior patterns, and crafting strategic, creative communications with a digital-centric approach. The program emphasizes both the advertising field and its societal impacts within this dynamic realm of influential media.
Academic studies are enhanced through internship placements. Additional hands-on learning comes from roles in news, production, management, sales, performance, and advertising within Kent State's acclaimed student media outlets. Students may also work with IdeaBase, an on-campus, student-operated marketing communications agency located near classrooms. The program further offers participation in national contests and networking through the Franklin Advertising student organization.
