The Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication Design equips students for careers in graphic design and illustration. This program builds technical expertise and creative abilities in arranging visual elements and typography to convey messages across both 2D and 3D formats. Learners create projects for diverse media including print, animation, video, digital displays, interactive platforms, packaging, exhibits, and environmental signage.

With its foundation in liberal arts, this program emphasizes design and illustration while allowing students to customize 20% of their curriculum (with advisor approval). This flexibility enables learners to enhance their design education with complementary subjects. The curriculum explores the crossroads of communication, information, and technology. The B.A. program suits students aiming for graduate studies or seeking to combine visual communication design with another academic discipline.
