Prepare for a professional career managing operations at hunting/shooting preserves, resorts, game-bird production facilities, fishing lodges, and outdoor adventure companies. Kansas State University's wildlife and outdoor enterprise management program equips students with the skills to lead at hunting preserves, resorts, game bird production operations, fishing destinations, outdoor adventure firms, and similar nature-based businesses. While including coursework in wildlife and fisheries management, this program differs from conventional wildlife biology degrees. It blends business, hospitality management, natural resources, and wildlife/fisheries studies with practical outdoor skills training. The hunting, fishing, and shooting sports sector represents a massive and expanding industry requiring skilled professionals. Nature-based enterprises operate across all 50 U.S. states and globally.
