Horticulture majors select from concentrations including production, golf course and sports turf management, horticultural science, or landscape horticulture. The science specialization emphasizes fundamental sciences for students planning graduate work or careers in research and extension services. Following their second year, students must complete a three- to six-month internship at an approved location.
