The Graduate Music Education program is designed for current music educators looking to enhance their instructional abilities. Music Education courses are scheduled for Tuesday nights, while the Bibliography class meets on Wednesdays. During Peabody's summer session, students can take Theory and History courses.
A Bachelor of Music Education or a Bachelor of Music with teaching certification and a 3.0 cumulative GPA are required for acceptance in the graduate Music Education program. An interview with the Music Education faculty will include a review of the applicant’s musical and educational experience and discussion of professional goals.
Students must have IELTS Academic Band Score equal to 7, or a minimum score of 600 (paper-based), 250 (computer-based), and 100 (internet-based) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
