The Peabody saxophone program is designed for students pursuing a rigorous, performance-focused education within a conservatory environment. Drawing from my background as a working performer, I've structured the program to prioritize solo and ensemble performances. Typically, saxophone majors participate in private lessons, quartet practices, wind ensemble (or orchestral) rehearsals, weekly repertoire sessions, and sometimes saxophone ensemble practices each week. Combined with music theory, ear training, music history, liberal arts courses, and personal practice time, students face a demanding yet rewarding weekly routine.
