JMU's Intelligence Analysis program offers an interdisciplinary education for students pursuing careers as specialized intelligence analysts.
This degree combines insights from diverse fields including philosophy, history, economics, political science, technology, and business. The curriculum develops analytical skills through coursework focused on research, critical reading, strategic thinking, effective writing, clear communication, and the application of relevant technologies. Course topics explore security-related subjects (like terrorism or cybercrime) across all eight intelligence domains: national security, military, homeland security, law enforcement, business, private security, geospatial intelligence, and cybersecurity.
