The biology department provides a specialized neuroscience track within the biology major, catering to students fascinated by cellular, molecular, systemic, and behavioral dimensions of neural systems and their operations. Those selecting the neuroscience concentration must fulfill all standard biology major prerequisites along with these additional specifications. Courses counting toward this concentration may simultaneously satisfy core biology major requirements. The department features both B.A. and B.S. four-year degree options in biology. To earn the B.A., students must complete intermediate foreign language proficiency and three philosophy credits.
