MSE graduate students engage in cutting-edge research to develop innovative materials solutions across diverse fields including: Energy storage and transmission systems, Next-generation manufacturing techniques, Advanced automotive and propulsion technologies, Biomedical materials and applications, Nanoscale materials, and Smart responsive materials. These students collaborate with our multidisciplinary faculty to tackle pressing challenges and uncover novel avenues for technological breakthroughs. Our program attracts a global community of scholars from various technical backgrounds, whose professional trajectories span academia, research institutions, industrial sectors, healthcare, entrepreneurship, and government. MSE provides three graduate degree pathways: the research-intensive PhD program, the Master of Science (with thesis or portfolio options), and the coursework-focused Master of Engineering. Additionally, we offer combined bachelor's/master's programs (BS/MS and BS/MEng).
