The School of Education and Division of Teaching, Learning, Leadership and Policy provides a doctoral program in Education focusing on science education. This Ph.D. cultivates researchers who investigate critical challenges in K-12 science instruction and learning. Faculty specializations encompass innovative science teaching methods, promoting equity in science education, interdisciplinary elementary STEM approaches, training future science educators, and supporting current teachers through professional development. Science Education faculty frequently partner on research projects with SOE peers, university-wide collaborators (including engineering departments), and national partners through grant-funded initiatives.

To apply to the Ph.D. in Education in the School of Education, you must meet the following minimum requirements for admission:
