The School of Education and Division of Teaching, Learning, Leadership and Policy provides a doctoral program in Education with a specialization in educational technology (EdTech). This Ph.D. concentration in educational technology is renowned for developing research scholars who investigate critical challenges in EdTech across both structured (such as P-20) and unstructured learning settings.

Faculty members bring expertise in areas like cutting-edge technologies and digital platforms, game-based education, virtual reality applications, technology implementation in teaching methods, educator preparation, and the TPACK framework. To apply to the Ph.D. in Education in the School of Education, you must meet the following minimum requirements for admission:
Undergraduate degree (e.g., B.A., or B.S.) from an accredited institution
Graduate degree (e.g., M.S., M.Ed.) from an accredited institution completed
Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale). Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 may be admitted in exceptional cases
