The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECpE) provides four pathways to obtain graduate degrees in electrical and computer engineering: a thesis-based Master of Science, a creative component Master of Science, a conventional Ph.D., and a direct admission Ph.D. Our doctoral candidates have completed their programs in as little as four years, while master's students typically finish within two years. Additionally, students can choose ECpE as their primary department for interdisciplinary graduate programs, including bioinformatics and computational biology (Ph.D.), cybersecurity (MS, Ph.D.), and human-computer interaction (MS, Ph.D., and certification options).
The VLSI research team conducts pioneering work on contemporary challenges in integrated circuit design. Their investigations span analog, digital, mixed-signal, and RF integrated circuits, examining system architecture, circuit functionality, and physical layout considerations.
