The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECpE) provides four pathways to obtain a graduate degree in electrical or computer engineering: a thesis-based Master of Science, a creative component Master of Science, a conventional Ph.D., or a direct entry Ph.D. program. Ph.D. candidates have completed their degrees in just four years, while master's students typically finish within two. Additionally, students can choose ECpE as their primary department for interdisciplinary graduate programs, including bioinformatics and computational biology (Ph.D.), information assurance (MS, Ph.D.), and human-computer interaction (MS, Ph.D., and certificate options).
