The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECpE) provides four pathways to obtain graduate degrees in electrical and computer engineering: a thesis-based Master of Science, a creative component Master of Science, a conventional Ph.D., and a direct admission Ph.D. program. Doctoral candidates have completed their degrees in just four years, while master's students typically finish within two years.
Additionally, students can choose the ECpE department as their primary department to pursue advanced degrees through three interdisciplinary programs: bioinformatics and computational biology (Ph.D.), information security (MS, Ph.D.), and human-computer interaction (offering MS, Ph.D., and certificate options).
