At ISU, we're committed to supporting your graduate studies journey. To help you get started, we've compiled application requirements and useful resources for additional details. Take time to review these materials.
Pursue innovative research. Graduate students in our program engage in cutting-edge, novel research within their chosen physics/astronomy discipline. This involves learning to analyze academic publications, clearly define research goals, and accurately evaluate findings.
Master physics/astronomy concepts. Students build a strong base in advanced physics/astronomy principles and acquire specialized experimental, observational, and computational skills relevant to their work. They also gain exposure to diverse areas of physics/astronomy outside their primary focus.
Cultivate professional skills. Our graduate scholars demonstrate ethical standards and integrity in both research and teaching, whether working collaboratively or independently. They refine their ability to effectively communicate sophisticated scientific concepts through publications and conference presentations.
