Supply chain management is a comprehensive academic discipline focused on optimizing the movement of information, materials, and goods between and within organizations. This field encompasses the coordination of business operations throughout the entire network, from raw material suppliers through production processes to end consumers. The curriculum provides a well-rounded education covering three fundamental aspects: procurement, operations, and logistics. Learners will gain expertise in diverse supply chain functions such as demand forecasting, sourcing, transportation coordination, warehouse operations, inventory management, materials handling, customer support services, IT systems, and strategic supply chain planning.
The Supply Chain Management Department provides an undergraduate major program. Candidates must fulfill general education prerequisites (including foundational business courses), core business requirements for the B.S. degree, plus 18 specialized credit hours in the major field.
This major aims to equip students for professional roles in logistics analysis, facility operations, purchasing, distribution center management, eco-friendly supply chain practices, and business advisory services. The program delivers essential theoretical knowledge, conceptual frameworks, and analytical techniques for making effective tactical and strategic decisions across all supply chain operations.
