A marketing major introduces students to the key business decisions and strategies involved in meeting consumer demands for products and services. Key areas of study include product design, pricing strategies, promotional techniques, customer engagement, digital platforms, data analysis, and sales techniques. Graduates gain qualifications for diverse roles including brand management, market research, digital marketing, consulting, advertising leadership, sales positions, social media management, retail operations, and event coordination across various industries. The Marketing Department provides this specialized program, where students fulfill general education requirements (including fundamental business courses), prerequisite subjects, core business curriculum for the BS degree, plus 18 credit hours of marketing-focused coursework.
The program aims to deliver comprehensive knowledge of marketing systems and their operations. Students cultivate analytical abilities, quantitative skills, and effective communication techniques while developing awareness of international market dynamics and ethical considerations in business.
