The Ivy College of Business collaborates with the Department of Economics to provide a Business Economics degree program.
While business education focuses on the structures and operations that bring products and services to consumers, economics examines these goods and services in terms of their creation, allocation, and usage, along with decisions about optimal resource utilization.
This joint initiative between the Ivy College of Business and the Department of Economics delivers a Business Economics major. Participants will fulfill general education requirements (incorporating fundamental business courses), preparatory coursework, core business requirements for the B.S. degree, plus 19 extra credits in their chosen specialization.
The Business Economics program aims to deliver an exceptional education with equal focus on business and economic principles. This comprehensive approach prepares graduates with distinctive capabilities that set them apart. Specifically, they'll develop the capacity to apply both business and economic analysis for critical thinking, solving intricate problems using economic models, business frameworks, quantitative methods, and interdisciplinary concepts from natural and social sciences, while also honing effective communication skills.
