The Master of Science (MS) in music therapy harnesses technological advancements to enable music therapists to interact with and support clients through innovative methods that were unimaginable just a short time ago. Located on the IU Indianapolis campus, the department offers graduate students opportunities to collaborate with three top-tier healthcare networks for both research and hands-on clinical practice. Herron School of Art and Design's MS in music therapy holds accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), mandating continuous assessment to uphold dynamic quality benchmarks. Additionally, the American Music Therapy Association (AMTA) has endorsed the program's curriculum. Herron provides a 30-credit MS in music technology program with two specialized pathways: the Clinical Track and the Research Track.
