The Master of Science (MS) program in Microbiology and Immunology equips future researchers with the skills needed to excel in today's dynamic healthcare environment. Our curriculum combines essential theoretical knowledge with early hands-on laboratory experience, ensuring students quickly develop practical expertise. Learners actively contribute to departmental knowledge through weekly seminars, research progress meetings, journal clubs, and participation in both local and national conferences. The program fosters strong communication and teaching abilities, with most students completing their training as independent researchers within 2-3 years.
Upon enrollment, each student collaborates with a graduate advisor to plan their first semester coursework. New students receive guidance from an experienced peer mentor throughout their initial year. During the first term, MS candidates complete a month-long research rotation under a faculty member who has agreed to supervise this introductory research experience.
