We specialize in pinpointing healthcare challenges and developing solutions through biomedical data analysis, always keeping patient needs at the forefront. Our Master of Science in Health Informatics program combines healthcare, information technology, informatics, and various related disciplines. Students gain expertise in evaluating and safeguarding patient information while enhancing healthcare quality and efficiency. The IU School of Informatics and Computing at IUPUI offers this CAHIIM-accredited program, which also holds AMIA approval. This 36-credit curriculum prepares students to study patient health information usage and develop tools for managing complex data and deriving meaningful insights. Through mastering techniques like natural language processing, our graduates enhance clinical decision-making, electronic records systems, and data security.
