The dual Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management and Juris Doctor (MPH-JD) program, offered collaboratively by the Richard M. Fairbanks School of Public Health and the Robert H. McKinney School of Law, delivers a comprehensive education blending legal studies with health policy and administration. This program equips students to tackle legal challenges and policy matters impacting individual and community health.
Prospective students must separately apply and gain admission to both the McKinney School of Law's JD program and the Public Health School's MPH program. After acceptance into this combined degree track, students should consult with academic advisors to map out their course progression. The curriculum requires completion of 82 law credit hours and 45 public health credit hours.
Applicants are expected to have a bachelor's degree from an accredited university, or its equivalent, with a grade point average of at least 3.0 overall (on a scale of 4) and at least 3.0 in the student's major.
English language requirements:
All non-native speakers of English must also submit proof of English proficiency unless the applicant has a Bachelor's degree or higher from the US or a predominantly English-speaking country.
