Internal auditors are experts who assist organizations in maintaining smooth operations and financial practices while adhering to established company policies and regulatory standards. The field encompasses two primary types: operational and financial auditing. This webpage showcases our Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing with a specialization in operational systems. Operational auditing represents an expanding sector with significant opportunities in Indiana, a central hub for manufacturing. Distinct from financial auditors with accounting backgrounds, operational internal auditors oversee processes and regulatory compliance, drawing professionals from diverse fields such as operations management, marketing, HR, administration, and IT. Our 12-credit Graduate Certificate in Internal Auditing with an operational focus provides comprehensive knowledge of audit parameters. It also prepares students academically to excel in the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) examination. The program features: Six graduate-level credit hours, available through evening classes or via a practical case study course combined with an internal audit internship.
