The undergraduate Fundamentals of Data Analytics certificate is a Purdue University program administered through the Department of Computer and Information Sciences.
This certification provides learners with essential competencies for conducting impactful data analysis across diverse fields. It's an excellent choice for both students and professionals from various backgrounds, including STEM disciplines, Liberal Arts, Nonprofit sectors, Business, and beyond.
The curriculum combines theoretical foundations with practical experience in key data tools like: R, MatLab, SPSS, Excel, Access, MySQL, Oracle, and others. The program requires completion of 15 credit hours (five courses) for certification, with a minimum of 12 credit hours to be completed within IUPUI's Computer and Information Science Department.

Students who are admitted with TOEFL iBT of 60-94 or IELTS of 5.5-6.5 will take the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) placement test. Admitted students with Duolingo scores (min. accepted score - 90) will also be required to take the EAP placement test.
